Swords
The typical Broadsword blade we produce can serve both Norse and Saxon identities. We also know that not every warrior carried an "Ulfbehrt" blade, and strive to represent the weapons the vast majority of sword owners would have used. A quality reenactment weapon is likely to have a far more testing time than it's historical counterpart may have had, as even the most blodthirsty of warriors would not have campaigned every weekend for six months or more a year, over perhaps ten or twenty years...their battles would have been far fewer! Our blades are made from tempered carbon steel in a process we have been using successfully for 40 years (ok, with one or two refinements!) and some of those early swords are still doing the rounds!
Fittings represent and are based on actual finds, and are generally steel or bronze. Blade dimensions nominally 28" x 1 7/8" (710mm x 47mm) with whole length fuller.
And while you're at it, don't forget a protective scabbard to house your new sword...we can supply our standard flexible leather or rigid wood lined leather scabbards with metal lockets and chapes, or produce a "special" to your design

Seaxes
Once again, these large knives or side-arms were found extensively through all areas during the Dark Ages, with a few regional variations in shape. Made from the same high quality metals as our swords, you can be sure of many years of faithful service. Whether a Battle Ready blunt, or a live blade for display or general camping purposes, take a look at our range, we're certain you will find what you need!
Knives
A wide variety of knives, daggers and feasting blades. In most cases sharp and functional, made from carbon steel and tempered. In the everyday pursuits of a Dark Age inhabitant, a trusty knife was an invaluable tool. At the Feast even more so!
