Almost as iconic and identifiable with Dark Age conflict as the Dragon Headed Longship, the axe was a versatile and deadly weapon. Whether a Bearded "Skeggox" which has light weight for its cutting area and is superb for grappling at close quarters, or the mighty Broad axe (Breitox), descendents of which became the mainstay of the Huscarls of Anglo Saxon England, the choice is wide! All our standard items are blunted and "re-enactment ready" unless required sharp for craft demonstrations etc.
